How Senate Licenses are managed in Senate:
When an organization first signs the Senate License, the organization is created in Senate by Data Republic. Details of the License such as execution and expiry date are added to the organization information, and is visible to the organization administrators in Senate.
Each Senate License has effective dates, during which time any user under the organization can access the platform. However, once the Senate License has expired, Data Republic will remove access for all users under the organization.
Organization administrators are responsible for monitoring the expiry date of their Organization’s Senate License and may contact Data Republic if any details need to amended.
How the Common Legal Framework is managed in Senate:
When Data Republic is creating your organization in Senate, we will select whether Data Republic's CLF (or any other Framework) has been signed. All Modules that your organization has signed will be visible to users who have the permission to view the Organization page.
Once an organization has started a new project, if the user’s organization has signed the CLF, the CLF will automatically be added to the project’s Legal tab. If the user’s organization has signed the Third Party Agreement, then a user with the permission to view their organization's legal frameworks will be able to add their bespoke legal agreement to the project and data license. This provides alignment on which legal framework govern a project, and the organizations involved.
How organization Admin users can view details of their Senate License in Senate:
Only Senate organization administrators or users who have permission to view their Organization admin page are able to view their Senate License details. Senate License details can be viewed by selecting Organizations in the drop-down menu in the top right corner.
